To see what parish records are available for Norfolf such as baptisms and marriages, you would need to contact the archive and history service for that area.
A lot of people get their info from CD-ROMS.
Hope this helps
Best wishes

1861 census in Norwich Heigham
Robert Mower 56 Ann Mower 54 Susan Mower 27 > Mary Mower 22 > William Mower 15 > John Mower 13 Susan Mower 11 Sarah Mower 10 Amelia Mower 11Mo Hannah Mower 8Mo
The ones I've marked > are children of Robert and Ann, born after 1837, in East Dereham (registration district Mitford).
Getting a birth certificate for one of them would give you Ann's surname, if that's one thing you'd like to know.
http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl
search for births, surname Mower, reg dist Mitford, 1838-1851, say.
I see a William in 1846 who might be your surest bet.

Sometimes FreeReg has got what you need (it's a work in progress):
http://www.freereg.org.uk/cgi/Search.pl
I searched for marriages, name Robert Mower.
County Norfolk Place East Dereham Church St Nicholas RegisterNumber 413 MarriageDate 19 Oct 1830 GroomForename Robert GroomSurname MOWER GroomAge GroomParish Westfield GroomCondition Bachelor GroomOccupation GroomAbode BrideForename Ann BrideSurname BATTERBEE BrideAge BrideParish East Dereham BrideCondition Spinster BrideOccupation BrideAbode GroomFatherForename GroomFatherSurname GroomFatherOccupation BrideFatherForename BrideFatherSurname BrideFatherOccupation WitnessOneForename Robert WitnessOneSurname MEACHEN WitnessTwoForename Sarah WitnessTwoSurname CHAPLEN Notes Banns. The groom and bride signed. The witnesses signed. FileNumber 769
(I've left all the blank fields in to show what info was *not* in the parish register)
If you search at FreeReg for births 1840 +/- 10 years, name Robert Mower, it will find the births of all of the children of Robert Mower and Ann in East Dereham 1831-1849. (One I checked shows Ann's surname, and the records state his occupation as shoemaker.)
Then make the search 1805 +/- 5 years, to look for his own birth, and ditto for Ann Batterbee. Actually, make it +/- 10 years -- because you will find Ann being baptised quite a long time after she was born, and it wil give you her parents' full names. I'll let you have the fun of that one (and searching for other Mower and Batterbee siblings and so on maybe) for yourself!
For instance, select county Norfolk, parish East Dereham, and just look around for Mower and Batterbee baptisms, marriages and burials ...

Kay, you do have to read the info in the thread.
I gave you the 1861 census for your people, in Norfolk:
Robert Mower 56 Ann Mower 54 Susan Mower 27 > Mary Mower 22 > William Mower 15 > John Mower 13 Susan Mower 11 Sarah Mower 10 Amelia Mower 11Mo Hannah Mower 8Mo
The three people I've pointed at are children of Robert and Ann who were born in East Dereham.
I gave you the marriage record for ROBERT MOWER and ANN BATTERBEE.
I told you how to find the births of all their children at the FreeREG site:
"If you search at FreeReg for births 1840 +/- 10 years, name Robert Mower, it will find the births of all of the children of Robert Mower and Ann in East Dereham 1831-1849. (One I checked shows Ann's surname, and the records state his occupation as shoemaker.)"
I also explained that you would find the birth/baptism of Ann Batterbee (Robert Mower's wife, John Mower's mother) at that site.
But I didn't find the birth/baptism of Robert Mower there yet. Volunteers are doing the transcribing of *all parish records* in England, and that is a huge undertaking.
Don't you want to do a little of the searching yourself?? With the directions I gave, it really is quite easy, and quite fun.
Really, it's no good to repeat the questions over again when the answers are all here!
