Walter Wood born NORWICH. NORFOLK. in 1859 married Alice Durrant.. Alice passed away 1905. Where is WALTER....

My guess possibly moved or on a visit in Scotland to his married sister....as I cant find any death of a Walter born in Norwich. Norfolk. Any help would be gratefully recieved.

Have you got the children's marriage certificates to find out if he was still alive when they married.
Walter junior has a service record on Ancestry but he married Norah Parkes in 1913 so it doesn't mention his father.

Thank you Astra for 1911 info. I do have the marriage of Walter and Norah Parkes and Walter snr was still alive.

Just before Christmas I found John Samuel born 1899 last surviving son Gorden. Our newspaper put all family notices on their website. I left a message and a relation of his saw it and he rang me up by going through all Wood names in phone book.

He brought round lots of photos and certificates.
How lucky was that.

He had marriage certificate for his father John Samuel and mother Glady Maud in 1925 his father Walter was named still alive. Also the sister Alice Laura Wood, she married a year before.

I have gone through BMD and cant find a Norwich Death for him anywhere... as yet.. Regards Rita
