The dates of birth for David and Elizabeth are a guestimate, but I know they lived at 41 Hosier St, Reading and yes it was three girls and one boy not 4 girls.
I obviously did not widen the birth possibilities for David + Elizabeth

Charles

You said you were looking for the parents of David (Deacon) and Elizabeth ?

Do you think this is David's family

1851 census-13 Hosier St Reading St Mary
DEACON David-Head-53-General Dealer born East Ilsley
DEACON Sarah-Wife-58 born ----------
DEACON James -son-16 lab born E/Ilsley
DEACON Sarah-dau -14 school born E/Ilsley
DEACON William -son-12 school born E/Ilsley

Marriage10 October 1830 at St Giles Reading
David DEKON (sic)
Sarah TAYLOR

Baptisms of the children of David & Sarah Deacon (David=Umbrella Maker in East Ilsley entries)

07 Jan 1831- David St Giles Reading
08 Apr 1833-Thomas St Giles Reading
26 Apr 1835-James East Ilsley
26 Mar 1837-Sarah Anne East Ilsley

William was probaly baptised at Newbury

There is a baptism at East Ilsley for a David Deacon in 1807 but that would not fit with the age in the census

Charles has pmed me to say that this is not the family he is looking for-the David Deacon he has was born in 1812ish at East Ilsley.

I have the East Ilsley transcripts and the only David Deacons baptised there are as on the IGI.

I have found a David Deacon in the 1841 census age 29-therefore born c 1812-living with a William Deacon and family at Sellack Herefordshire-all but the youngest "not born in county" but cannot find a David Deacon aged about 39 in the 1851 census-can anyone else ? !

Charles only knows what has been found for him on here - if you look at his original posting, he was way out with the birth years
