Find Ancestors

Can anyone please help me find a marriage between Josiah Thomas Jones b.March 1906 in Tredegar, Monmouth, Wales and Hilary Athelone Jones b.1930 (place unknown)?

This apparently is her second marriage. Her first was to Paul Jules Emile Boonzaier. (I can't find this also) By the way, her second name should read Athlone.

Apparently Hilary's third marriage was to Stan Page (1921 - 1997)

My info comes from a living son of Josiah Thomas Jones.

Josiah's parents were Bedlington Jones (b. 1882) and Susannah Nash (b.1884)

Josiah's birth details are: b.1906 in Bedwelty District of Monmouth, volume 11a: page: 113:

Sadly I have no further details of Hilary Athlone Jones (b.1930)

Any possibility that they married abroad, as Boonzaier is a South African name?

I think, Patricia, that Josiah spent some time in South Africa but I was not aware that he married Hilary there.

Is there a way of checking South African BMD's?

This Stanley Page sounds a nice ordinary chap - but I can't find any marriage to a Jones that fits. Are Stanley and Hilary still alive? EDIT, no you said he died 1997 - where?

What happened to her other husbands? Died, Divorced, Beheaded or Survived?

I googled Boonzaier. A website has this Boonzaier:

There is nothing to tell me what first and second mean, but I'm guessing it means he married twice.

How sure is the living relative of all this? Families tell stories that get distorted along the way. Has this relative got his/her own birth certificate showing the parents? Who were they? Was s/he a Boonzaier, a Jones or a Page?

I don't have many answers to your questions however, Yes, Hilary was born a Jones: I don't know where Stanley died: The husband I am particularly interested in is Josiah Thomas Jones (b. March 1906 Tredegar d. 12 June 1989): I guess the first and second against Paul Jules would mean a marriage with Hilary:

The living son of Josiah has given to me a three page history of his lineage which of course, includes his parents and children. I can PM it to you if you are interested.?

I asked, does this relative have his/her own birth certificate and who were the parents? And if not, are you able to get it, or PM me with the information (not sensible to put info re living relatives on this board) and I'll have a hunt.

So am I right in thinking that Hilary Page is no longer alive, or don't you know?

Either these marriages were all overseas, or they changed their names for whatever reason, or they never actually married.
