Vincent john Thompson was born in Eccelsall Sheffield in around 1906. He married Doris Chappell in 1937 in Sheffield. He was brought up in Dr Barnadoes home in the area. I know he had lots of brothers any information on his siblings or parents will be greatfully received thanks x

I agree with you Wendy. When I first discovered the community section I was not sure which section to use as when you open them up, they seem to be full of allsorts. Maybe if everyone kept to the right sections it would make it easier for a new comer to understand.
Maybe if posts were submitted via a moderator and were then placed into the correct section that would be good, but I don't suppose that will happen.

With regard to your question, have you tried contacting Barnado's as they should have records .

Good luck
