Find Ancestors

I received a marriage cert today for Kate Wilde and Philip Darby 1894 Middlesbrough. I know all about Philip.
Kate is 20. Her father is John Wilde occ labourer.
After Kate married the Darby family are missing from the 1901 census because the census page is missing from numbers 18-42 and they were at 18 from a birth cert of child born in Feb and registered in March


I have never been able to find Kate with her parents but only with her siblings.

Kate Welde born 1874 Middlesbrough living with her brother William and Francis Higgins her widowed sister

1881 census.
John Wiles 1838 Whitton Park occ shingler.
William 1865 Middlesbro

No Kate or mother

Emily has married now Sargeant.
William Dilde brother
Mary Ann and John Higgins his sister Frances children

Frances remarried to Isaac Lill and died in 1893

I no longer subscribe to Ancestry
Now I need help to find the Wilde family in 1871 to confirm Kates mothers name and look for them both in 1881

That information has already been given thanks. I was hoping to locate the William Wild on that census with John Wilde Kates father born c1838 Witton Park Durham.
I found a birth for Kate Wild 1873 Middlesbrough

Kates father John is born Witton Park Durham

So could it be that on the 1881 census Kate wild is visiting uncle William ?

That just leaves Kates mother Catherine born 1843 Pontypool missing on the 1881 census.

I wonder if she is in Wales?

On the 1851 census 2 John Wild age 10. One in Auckland the other in Tynemouth Union North Shields.

Can some kind soul check out these 2 census please?

The last one does look promising especially because the family are living Witton Park

Also thought it was more promising as Johns younger brother Williams birthplace and age fits in exactly with the William in the 1881 census with Kate/Catherine .


Not good on Northern Counties but are Walker and Witton Park very close to each/one of the same? If so I think this could be your family.

Walker and Witton Park are not near each other. Walker is near Newcastle Northumberland and Witton Park is in County Durham.

However if on census night if someone was asked where do you come from he might have said Witton Park because that was where the family were living

I would still like to know where Catherine, Kates mother was in 1881 since shes not with Catherine/Kate and John her husband says hes married
