Find Ancestors

Im trying to see if there is anyway I can find out the father of my ggg grandfather Daniel Clark. b 1862. His mother LEAH Clark married a Richard NEW but DANIEL was already born. (Out of wedlock, methinks)
Richard and Leah married and had several other children but they were all of the Surname New. Only Daniel remained Clark. Any ideas????

If there is no Dads name on his B/C then i'll doubt you'll ever know

If Daniel married(Im assumig he did) he may have named his father on his marriage certificate as I found out for one of my relations.
