Sorry for the delay in replying, I have been away.

That is his birth, actual date 7.5.1926 in Sheffield and he doesn't have a middle name.
I don't have any info, that's the problem and why I sent for the bc and parents' mc. That side of the family didn't visit much and I last saw my uncle in the mid/late 60's but can't remember his address either.
Not a lot to go on, and I don't hold out a lot of hope, I just thought I would try with the help of kind people like yourself and Sylvia. I have had a look at 192 for the 1st time and have some phone numbers I can check, but would have to to buy credits for ER info.

we haven't actually found anything for you, so you won't lose any information by deleting.


Just say that you have looked on Search Trees, and the only 2 entries are from your own tree, and that you have looked on 192.com, etc

Thank you ladies for your replies - I have tried the search trees and both entries are from my own tree!
Won't I be in trouble with GR if I post the same name again ?- I am never quite sure what to do about that rule

It would be almost impossible to expect that a person who could help you would see this message.


There must be over 11 million members of GR, accumulative from its inception in 2002/3

I think that possibly 8 or 9 million of those are no longer active on the site.

GR never deletes anyone ...... a member who stops paying his/her subscription is just moved to the Free Membership category, and remains on there forever and a day.


I have a belief that possibly less than a couple of thousand members actually find and use these community boards.



So what do I suggest for you??


1. Look in the dark green band at the top for Search Trees. Click on that, enter the names, and then see if any matches come up. Then you can send a pm (personal message) to the tree owner. Just click on the person's name, type your message in the box and click Submit.


2. Go to Friends Reunited, the parent company of GR, a connecting tab is right at the top. It's free to join that site. Enter Kenneth's name in the Search box, see if he has joined that site.

3. Look on 192.com to see if he is listed on there with a phone number

4. Go to either the Records or Tips board and post a message asking if someone could look on the electoral roll ... especially if you have na idea where he lived.
