Find Ancestors

Cornelius Green b1852 Portsea married Rosa Jane Berry b1859 Langrish. They married 5th February 1885 in Petersfield and had a daughter Beatrice Rosa Green on 25th December 1885. Beatrice was born in Shaftesbury Dorset

I have all three of them on 1891 census living in Petersfield. Rosa died in 1892 and I am unable to find Cornelius and Beatrice any further. (Apart from Beatrice in 1901 who may have living with the Clayton family ... Source Citation: Class: RG13; Piece: 989; Folio: 28; Page: 8 ... I do not have any Claytons so unable to be certain about this)

If anyone could find Cornelius and Beatrice post 1891 and shed some light on what happened to them I would be very grateful

I don't have Claytons in my tree. I think they must be related to Cornelius...My ancestor is Rosa so Cornelius only in my tree through marriage.

He and Beatrice continue to hide from me!!!

no sign of Cornelius or Beatrice in 1911

This is the only Cornelius Green born in Hampshire at about that time. 1891 has him born 1859.

Also interesting to note that the Anne Jury with the Claytons in 1891 is with the Greens in 1861.

Just out of interest, Gail, if your ancestor is Rosa Berry surely her only child Beatrice Green has to be your ancestor too. Then the Greens must also be your ancestors. Or is Rosa a relative of your ancestor? Or don't you think Cornelius is her father?
