Do you have his children's birth certificates cos he may be in another regiment during WW2.
The birth in 1945 may have more data cos sometimes his service number changes as well if re-enlisted for WW2.

Have to try his war records if you are his next of kin ?

I have posted a message previously regarding my grandfather Llewellyn John Davies but did not have much luck gaining further information as it is quite a complicated story. Thank you to all those who helped though!

I thought I could use a different track and am hoping you will try to help me out again

Llewellyn John Davies born 1909 was in the 1st Battalion Welch Regiment at the time of his marriage to Mary Hickey in 1931. His marriage certificate states residence as Salamanca Barracks Aldershot and he is Private No. 3955807

Anyone know how I can trace further information on him? The sites I have looked at are helpful if you died in service but Llewellyn didn't (he died in 1965)

Any help greatly appreciated

Regarding the previous post on Llewellyn it was posted on 14/04/2010 titled Where To Go Next? Aarrgghh!! Apologies for posting another message regarding the same person...but it is trying another track.....hope that is ok?
