Hi Guys - hoping for some help here. In 1911 my great grandfather was a fireman for the Steam Packet Co but i have no idea on which ship or which voyages. He is previously given asa mariner and i've looked at the TNA records for merchant seaman but have drawn a blank - i think my search was too broad. Can anybody help?

What was his name and where and when born, please?

his full dame was evan davies and he was born in aberystwyth in 1871. in 1911 he is still living in aberystwyth, in Trefechan, with his wife elizabeth ann.

on his marrige he cites his occupation as mariner/fireman and on the 1911 census as fireman - steam packet company
