Thomas Turner b 1772 Dogsthorpe, married Rebecca Turner b 1770 Harlaxton, about 25.10.1791, possibly Peterborough.
I would like to know of ALL the children of this marriage. I have some, but other people have different ones. In all, I believe there to be 12/13 children.
Would someone be kind enough to thoroughly have a look at this for me. I have looked at all the Search Trees etc.
Many Thanks to All
Julia in Derbyshire

PS. I will be around, but abit on and off, today, but will answer if and when I read anything.
Again, many thanks

Hi Julia..goodmorning from Derek (Derbyshire)......and Hi again Ann...

Have found the following ,which you've probably got, but hey! it's Sunday morning!!

THOMAS TURNER bapt St Johns Peterborough 03.04.1772 son of Daniel and Elizabeth.......married REBECCA PARKER same place 25.10.1791..

Trouble is he was long gone by 1841.....but I have Rebecca..farmer of 100 acres in both 1841 and 1851

In 1841 (at Dogsworth) there are four of her children still living with her..George Thomas Mary and Rebecca..

In 1851 Just Mary and rebecca remain....unmarried..but there is also a grandchild Mary J Baker..which means that another daughter of Thomas and rebecca married someone called Baker....

That's as far as i can help..I think you'll need parish records for all the children..

take care..

Derek

Many Thanks Derek for your imput.
Yes I have that information, but it is a good thing for someone else to find it, then it veryfies that I am on the correct lines.
Yes, another daughter, Susannah, married William Baker, about 1840, and had the daughter Mary J Baker, born in Leicestershire I also have Mary J living with grandmother Rebecca in 1851. On the 1841, William Baker is shown as being born 'out of county', and a Miller. I have wondered if he came from Leicestershire with Mary j being born there. However, I cannot find William and Susannah after the 1841, nor Mary J between the 1851 and 1881, where she is living in Peterborough, described as 'late Governess' with the two aunts, Mary and Rebecca..
I have a copy of the will of Thomas, dated 1834, in which he describes leaving money to......"my FOUR DAUGHTERS", ..... amongst what he ledt to his many sons. So, we k now of Susannah, Mary and Rebecca, so their is one missing.
I have used the IGI to find asll the family, and have been pretty successful, but I just wondered if someone could have found something I had missed.
Again, many thanks

PS. The paragraph about Susannah, was going to be my next thread, to post.
