Trying to find any marriage records for a John Frederick Davies between 1959 & 1983. John F was born Sept 1943. Father was John Elfyn Davies, mother was Edna Vera Davies nee Jarvis.

Interested to see if I can find any children for John Frederick Davies too but don't have any info on marriage record for him yet.

Not having much luck on Genes & not registered anywhere else so any help much appreciated.

Will check for replies after 5:30pm.

You could try this site - although not sure if they have the dates you are requesting. Free to search.

Another one is Ancestry but you would need credits and be able to narrow down the search a bit.

Bet he's the Wrexham one - his Dad sounds very Welsh!

You need to bear in mind that he may not have used his full name when/if he married. Even if he did, the name is far from unique and timeframe of between 1959 & 1983 is huge.

I'd imagine John Davies's marrying in that time frame will run into hundreds. how will you know which is yours?

I've tried that freebmd website but am not coming up with anything - what am I missing?! I'll try again!!

I can't afford to do both genes & ancestry unfortunately so trying to do the best with what I've got!

John Elfyn was indeed very Welsh Jan! John Frederick was born Rushden in Northampton - not known if they stayed in the area and not known where Enda Vera Jarvis originally came from....

John Elfyn married Edna Vera Jarvis June 1942....have got the marriage certificate for that. Their child John Frederick Davies was born in September 1943 in Rushden, Northampton & I've got his birth certificate.....

Am now trying to see if I can find any marriage records for John Frederick Davies when he grew up. I have no other info to go on unfortunately...
