Horace Taylor born 1867 in Alverstoke, Hampshire. I believe Horace was the son of Thomas Taylor and Sarah Tilbury. Thomas I believe was born in Bishop Waltham in 1836 the son of a John & Charlotte Taylor. I am trying to find details of John & Charlotte's marriage.

This is strange I was sure that Horace's father's name was Thomas. I am going to have to get my husband to purchase Horaces's birth certificate to confirm. I have Horace marrying a Hester Amelia Tilbury in 1892 in Alverstoke.

Thank you for information on Thomas Taylor. I have found 1871 census for Horace Taylor living at Ewer Common, Alverstoke. This gives parents as Thomas Taylor and Sarah Taylor with a sister Mary Ann Taylor aged 7 years. The 1881 census shows him living at 23 Ewer common, Alverstoke with mother Sarah aged 42 years born Botley, and sister Alice aged 1 year born 1880 in Alverstoke.

Birth certificate for Horace Taylor gives his birth as 22.3.1867 as Leesland Place, Forton Nr Gosport, Hampshire. Father's name Thomas Taylor (Seaman Royal Yacht). Mother's name Sarah Taylor nee Tilbury. The birth certificate for Silas Taylor gives his birth date as 17.9.1844 in the Parish of Bishops Waltham. Father's name John Taylor and mother' name Charlotte Taylor (nee Tilbury). Occupation of father: Agricultural Labourer. There is a recored for a marriage of a John Taylor to Charlotte Tilbury on 26th February 1824 in Meonstoke. This gives John Taylor as being of the Parish of Owslebury and Charlotte Tilbury as being of the Parish of Meonstoke. Please can anyone find details of the births of John Taylor and Charlotte Tilbury. Thank You
