Member Since: June 2004 Posts: 18 Send Message	Can anyone find Alexander Clark married to Elizabeth nee Laing both born c 1848 probably in Kirkcudbrightshire, son named David born c 1886. David married my great aunt and they went to South Africa. Cannot find any info re their life in Scotland before marriage in 1914. Thanks

	Your PM New message to Ginny From Kathleen Thank you it sounds possible. Alexander was stated to be a Shoe maker on Davids marriage cert. But any thing is possible. The info re David too sounds good altho he married in Kirkcudbrightshire and was employed at Balmaghie Stables I therefore assumed thats where they were from.
