I love to eat R2D2 - I adore all kids cakes with loads of butter icing and fondants -

The India thing about disabling children is quite real.

They have been known to burn childrens eyes out cause they can make more money on the streets


We have Yorkies as a starter to a big roast dinner....all home made of course

I know I just looked at that again and thought....what the!

When I was a kid - and Dad cooked our dinner - ( Mum normally just had a baby - or in labour )
He always gave us Yorkshire - first - then our roast - he also gave us Yorkshire pudding with sultanas in it for pudding - with custard

Can remember us all saying -


Oh Mum tell him not to do the Yorkshire first - and not for pudding - Mum Mum tell him Mum Mum tell him

I suppose it is like when I worked in a Medical Practice.

I was aware of SSSooo much sadness and SSooo many people suffering and dying that you had to 'make light' of it all!!

There is a 'strange' sense of humour abounding within the 'Medical Profession' - It is necessary to stop you going mad !!

Lucky you got roast anything Renes.
If mother couldnt cook dad used to make burnt sausages with bread or bread and cheese..!
And NO chance of pudding..

My dad used to cook bacon in the frying pan - He was epileptic so half way through the cooking he would usually turn to one side and fall over - leaving me to 'turn things down' till later.

He REALLY scared me sometimes!! - but the bacon always tasted good !

sunny day here, at the moment ...... weathermen unsure as to whether the rain will arrive before or after the trick or treaters!



Renes ....... it's roast lamb for real here tonight as well!


Dea ........ that would be scary!



I'll tell you something ......... I never had a hot roast meal at home when I was young.

Mum used to cook the roast after we'd had dinner on Saturday evening, and then we would eat it cold for Sunday lunch


That apparently was a hangover from the depression years and WW2 ........... cold meat cuts thinner and goes further than hot meat.


Yet she loved hot roast ........ and we weren't THAT poor! So I really don't know why it continued that way, right up to her death in 1961.

WWWooohhh ! That was scarey Sylvia,

especially when he used to clean the windows!!

Sash windows - I don't know if you know what they are, but anyway, he used to sit on the windowsill with his body on the outside and the window pulled down onto his legs so he could clean the outside!!

I used to HUG his legs SO tightly in case he had a 'fit' while he was out there and fell to his death !!

I also had to learn how to wallpaper a room at the age of 8, 9 or 10 as he would climb up the ladder and then not know which side he climbed up ! - would turn around and fall down the other side "!! ... I HAD to take over didn't I ??
