Find Ancestors

Hi, i have been trying to locate my great grandmother, without any success. Her name on the census is stated as Louisa Jones born in Raglan, but three different date on each census. 1891, born 1862, 1901, born 1865, 1911, born 1868. Her name could have been Ellen louisa Jones? I have tried all ways to find this name without any luck, i have hit a brickwall. Any suggestions?

Who did she marry Pat? Need date of marriage if you have it. plus location.
If you could paste 1911 onto here would be very useful

In 1891 the name was ansty but spelt enstey her name then, Husband Thomas died in 1897. but i cannot locate any marriage certificates either. I have found a ellen louisa jones married a John Miles in 1936 in Abergavenny because of the aged when married , i not sure?. Louisa is the mother to the children, not sure about Leonard my grandfather because i cant find a birth certificate.

where did the Jones come in ? have you got any birth certs for her children

If she married before to Thomas Anstey this is the name she would have been expected to use on 2nd marriage.

so her age is a bit out on the 1911 census

I have the records of Alice Ellen Louisa ansty mothers maiden name Jones and Edwin ansty ,but Edwin was registered as a Jones, not ansty. Arthur and Thomas died in 1897, and Edwin was born in 1897!

She had another child before William, Arthur, born 1886, died 1897 aged 11, another child, Clara Ann died at birth. so that would make her 16 when she had Arthur?

I see both Thomas and son Arthur were born in Hereford, not sure if that has any significance!

according to 1891 census Arthur was born in Longtown which is quite near abergavenny ,but would be registered in Hereford. I notice that these families of mine did move about quite a bit with the information i found, i am sure it was work related, farmhand, labourers etc.

She had a child Alice ellen louisa, so i am assuming it is the right one. I know that before she died she lived on the monmouth road, Laurel cottage, Abergavenny, i remember my mother saying they lived on the monmouth road, so i think this could be them. Her date of birth would have been 1876 not 1862,1865 or 1870 as she stated on the census. her father was william Jones a farmer. Ellen stated she was born in raglan, i have had no luck on that. Still cant find Leonard Miles 1902 the son, my grandfather!

In what way can't you find Leonard?

There must be some mix up with birth dates as you say she must have been born 1876 but earlier in the thread you said.

If she was born 1876 she couldn't have had a child in 1886.

I remeber looking for Leonard in an earlier thread.
