Find Ancestors

I am trying to find any information on my grandfathers bro Frederick Bertie Hall born 1891 in Norwich I have found him still at home at 8 Garden St Norwich in the 1911 and 1901 census and a possible marriage in Norwich in March 1920 to a May Morrant but when I search for his birth rec on Free BMD it comes up no match found and the same when I search for any children. When I search for a death one comes up for about the same age at Hartlepool but after sending for the death cert it seems to be the wrong one as the informant was his widow but she was an A Hall.
Any help here would be much appreciated

Thanks Flick. The name Bertie appears on the marriage cert I have and I suppose that could be a shorter alternative to Herbert so we should be on the right track.
The 1911 and 1901 records you have are the same as mine.
No, I have not been able to find any birth registrations for any of his children

By OTHER children, I meant those on the census!

If this man was your grandfather's brother, you obviously know the names of his parents.....what were they?

Thanks for the correction Flick it shows how easy a novice like me could go off on the wrong track..

His parents names were Henry Hall born 1858 I dont know where and his mums name was Elizabeth Leach born 1862 in Norwich. I had rthis info from the 1881 and 1891 censuses.

I have now had the birth cert for Bertie Frederick which is definitely the right one, so from the 1901 census onwards or maybe before he juggled his christian names to Frederick Bertie, i also have his marriage cert to a May Coperman Morrant in Norwich on March 20th 1920 and the death cert for his wife in Norwich on 7 May 1934 and Fred was the informant so he was obviously still alive in May 1934.
But I am still searching for a death rec for Fred as when I search for Norfolk as he was born and lived in Norwich up until 1934 , it comes up 'no matches', then I search under all counties and I end up with a huge list as this must have been a popular name at this time.
So please can someone help me find this death record and if possible if they had any children.
