Court records are sealed for at least 75 years so unlikely to discover if he served prison time in Birmingham in the 1940's for bigamy.

Do you have a name for the lady that he "Married" or their child?

Dorothy may I suggest that you delete the other post to save duplication of effort by those trying to help you.

Dorothy,

The post that could do with deleting is the one which currently has only 4 responses, this one has 10 so it is the one with the fewest number which you should delete.
