Find Ancestors

I am trying to find info on Henry George William Edwards b 1904 in Godstone and George Mitchell Edwards b 1908 Croydon Surrey. They were found on 1911 Census with their Grandmother Charlotte Pook b 1854 Camberwell. She was b Payton. She married Wale & then Edwards and finally Pook.
Any info would really be appreciated.

*********'Daughter in Law' would actually be step-daughter, as she is single, so you won't have much hope of identifying the father(s) of the boys, if that's what you had in mind.

Also, it means that Charlotte was not the grandmother of the boys........Florence's mother would have that blood relationship to them

This would mean that Charlotte is in fact Florence's mother and the marriage to Charlotte Wale
is not correct.????

Can you give some more info please?

The 'in law' bit on 1911 looks like it has been added by the enumerator, maybe he assumed this
as Florence and the children had a differnt surname??

Charlotte Caroline Payton b 1855 Camberwell m William Wale b 1850 London, in 1873. He disappeared and she is found living with James Edwards who she married in 1888. He died in Hospital in 1891. In 1901 she is with Henry George Pook and his c/d, I think. That is Helen Pook 19 & a Florence b Greenwich. In 1911 she is with Florence Caroline Edwards b Croydon 1887 her daughter and her two grandsons. Don't know their mother or father.

Yes we have the 1881 Census & also 1891 Census where Charlotte is a widow with all her c/d.
She had an eventful life. Wonder who was the mother of her grandsons.

Didn't you take any notice of my comments with regard to the 1911 census?

Yes, thanks. I have that one but it won't tell me the name of the mother of the boys. Maybe it was Florence Caroline Edwards or Charlotte Ellen or one of the other siblings.
I suppose there is no way of finding out except for birth certs.
We still can't figure out Eliza 1880 She is listed a Gaffney/Edwards.
Any ideas where I can go from here?
