Thanx for help this was as far as i got even have the army records the army sent them to me.

Okay,

Have found war records of Charles Young b 1878 Dundee, Forfar, Scotland. He joined the Imperial Australian Army 28 April 1915 at Blackboy Hill, Western Australia, Australia Service No: 4507. He served in France, Gallipolli and various other overseas postings. He returned to Fremantle, Western Australia, Austraila 4 June 1919 on board "Konigin Louise" and was demobbed 3 Aug 1919.

He left a wife in Dundee, Scotland, Euphemia Young. Unknown if there were any children.

Unable to find any records of his arrival prior to his enlistment, nor any record after he was demobbed.

Hi Helen,

Bit confused with your query, you say that Charles disembarked at Freemantle in 1919, but he served in WW1 in Australia between 1914-1918.

Think he could have the same as my father , which is MARSHALL. Have got his army records from australia but no further leads after 1919. He was an RSM in the army.

My Grandfather disembarked at Freemantle Australia in 1919, from the ship Konigin Louise the we have no more trace of him .Help please !!
