Thanks Shirley, i,ve tried that,but no one else seems to have him in their family................my only other possibility is that he died in WW1 ?? |

Fione - that's NOT your Alexander then as the chap killed in action was the son of Alexander Scott. |

Just as a matter of interest, the address you have given for Alexander's birth is the same as the address that the family lived at in 1901 - without his birth certificate, you cannot be certain that he was born there. The family may have been lodging anywhere in the City when they first arrived from Argyll |

Just to say I have found Archie's wife Agnes Livingstone.He was Alexander's brother.They were married in Partick, Glasgow in 1921. I have found her death at 79 in Paisley,but not his death, or any sign of possible children.It is now looking strongly as if Alexander never made it to adulthood,but I will keep looking. |

Agnes Livingstone's death certificate should show if she was a widow when she died which will narrow your search for Archie down a bit. |
