Hi

I am trying to find out some info on an Edith Francis Walker and need someone who has access to world wide records.

EDITH FRANCES WALKER b 1869 in Clapham, London

Parents - JOHN KENNETH WALKER B 1826 in Alconbury, Hants
MARY nee CLARKE B 1841 in Staffordshire

I have found Edith's baptism in 1874 with her brothers Gerald and Leonard Arthur on the same day. Address on record is Clapham Road.

In 1881 and 1891 Edith is with her parents in Camberwell, London. She was a school mistress in 1891.

In Mary Walker's probate records Edith Frances Walker is mentioned and unmarried - she would be about 59 years old. I have a photo of an E. F.Walker taken in 1910 but she looks too old for the Edith born in 1869 so maybe there is another E.F.W born earlier !

I have an envelope from New York from E.F Walker posted on the 30th April 1931.It is addressed to Mrs C.E Carter- Wallace in New york .Edith had a half sister Charlotte Elizabeth whose mothers maiden name was Cater or Carter so there could be a connection there. Idont know if Edith was visiting or living in New York.

There is an Edith F Walker in the New York Passenger Lists 1820 - 1957 but I dont have access so I woulld appreciate it if someone could look for me. I also looked on the incoming passenger lists but so far have found nothing

If Edith was living in New York would she be on census records there? I cant find any mention of her anywhere after 1891.

Any info would be great - thanks in advance

She was born on the 7th Dec 1869 or 9 so looks like the right person - thanks.Any info on Charlotte Elizabeth Carter - Wallace in New York or on a passenger list. Her maiden name was Walker but she could have used her mothers maiden name of Cater or sometimes Carter. Her mother was Charlotte Cater born in 1829 in Southwark and she and Edith had the same father - john
cheers
