I sadly have Green on both sides of my family tree. Look forward to seeing where they cross...
However, I'm looking for any information on George Green who was Married to a Roseina Whatton and they had 9 children. This is all the information I know. However, I don't know much about his past. I know he was a builder. I also know he was born and raised in Islington. I've found 3 possible matches on the census, but wondered if anyone could actually help me pin down the one he is.
Thanks
Sarah

I believe George was born around 1884.

Sarah Report 27 Aug 2010 13:18

That is the correct family, he was a bricklayer, married to Roseina Maude Whatton, and Harry James, is my Grandfather, however, I have no information about who George is and where he comes from, I'm assuming he was born around 1884, and I know that he died during the war, he was a civilian casualty.
That's all I know.
I'd just love to know who his parents were, if he had any siblings etc. I just can't seem to find anything that's definate. I've been searching since 9am!
Thanks guys.

I don't have access to census years pre 1911 at the moment but presume there are a number of options for George in earlier census years. The only way to be sure of his father would be to buy the marriage certificate

Good Luck Kayx

That sounds correct.
That's all I seem to have found out about him. I can't find the right one for any sibling info or his parents.
Thank you all.

As George and Rose had children up to 1925, can you say if they are all deceased please?
