This is a long shot but if anyone can help. My father-in-law was William Jackson, he was born in either Nov 1913 or 1914. He married Alice Daniel on 18 April 1942 and served in the army as a Soldier, could be in a tank regiment as I have a photograph of him in a tank in Belgium. Bill and Alice had a daughter Brenda in 1942, son David 1944 and twins Susan and Stuart in 1948. Unfortunately my husband cannot remember much about his grandparents and as they are deceased it is difficult to find anything out.

I do know that Williams father was John William Jackson and he was a Maltster. He had a brother George and a sister Jessie, I believe they came from Barnby Dun, Doncaster or around that area as they all lived in Barnby Dun up to 30 years ago.

I would appreciate some help, if possible.

Thanks Katherine

Sorry Michael I found these names on my search but don't know if they are connected or not. Didn't realise how common William Jackson is. Katherine
