Find Ancestors

I am trying to locate any information on the Mitchell family from circa 1900. Francis Taylor Mitchell was born circa 1914 in Scotland (exact location unknown) and later married Georgina Wood (dates unknown), and they had two daughters (Frances T b 1946 & Margaret b circa 1948). The family moved overseas to Rhodesia in the late 1950s.

There are an enormous number of Mitchells in the records available and with no other info to go on, it is proving tricky. If anyone has any matching information or suggestions on where / how to search, I would be most grateful!

You are not able to look at the certificates because of the time frame. You can order them from Scotlands people site I think they will cost 10 pounds each.

Thank you for your help - I'm not sure where to look for Scottish records - can you recommend any particular sites?
