I am trying to trace my Great grandfather Henry Lewis, born around 1824,travelled to Australia and married Elizabeth Giles(nee Jacka). I would like to know his parents names , and where he was born. Thank you. Kathleen

Kathleen, there is no hope at all without his father's name at least . I wonder if it's possible to get this from the Australian marriage record? I would focus on this initially, and find out as much as you can about him.
It might help to change your heading to include "Australia".

Thank you for your reply,I do have the marriage certificate, but there is no mention of the father's names of either Henry or Elizabeth. I have no idea where he was born or died. I have been searching for a few years.

What are the names of the children? Sometimes you can find out the parents names from the elder children.

Thank you for your help. Henry and Elizabeth were married in Adelaide, Australia on 18-12-1862Their were Henry,Elizabeth, William and Mary.
