Has anyone come accross this name. I have searched for more than 20 years in births, marraiges, deaths and military records. I have no details I am afraid, probably born in Scotland around 1880 and maybe moved into the Nottingham area at a later date. Sorry I have no more to go on.
Any help would be appreciated.

What is your connection to this person? Can any details be gleaned from other people with whom he was associated?

Have you checked on Scotlandspeople for a birth for him please? Also remember that Ian can be spelt Iain. Sometimes Scots use Ian for someone whose birth may be registerd as John.

He would be my grandfather. I only have the name from my father's marriage certificate. I will check on the Scotlandsite. I believe I have done so in the past but will check my notes!

Thankyou

Do you have your father's birth cert? If not, do you know when and where he was born?

No, I have nothing, no clues whatsoever. Just a marriage certificate with a name.
Thanks.

I think you need to find your father's birth cert which will give his mother's maiden name, then we can look for a marriage.

Do you really not know when and where your father was born?

I have found an image for birth for a John Campbell Watson, 1879 in a tree on Ancestry.

My father's birth certificate is something I have never been able to find. He said he was born 1908, September. I also believe he lived in the Nottingham area as a child. Full name Keith Braemar Watson.

Can't find a birth for a Keith Braemar Watson anywhere. Several Keiths in both Scotland and England.

Thankyou. I think the ones in England are in the wrong places. I really think I have to accept my '' brick wall"

Worth a try though.

Just seen your other thread:

It would have been better to add to that rather than start a new one.

Oh ok sorry. This is only my second question on this site and didn't realise that.
