I have sent a message to someone who has a common ancester on their tree but they haven't replied to me. Could this mean that they are no longer a member of genesreunited or would they always get an email message from yourselves then be invited to re-join to read the message? I did want to do it privately rather than on the message board. |

Has the message been read? If you look in your sent messages the envelope will still be closed and purple if the message has not been read. |

Thank you for this info as it's the only message I've ever sent and I noticed it is actually still purple and therefore unopened! I guess I just have to be patient, the person may be away or if not changed their email. I'll have to think of some over way of finding them. |
