Just checked these and they don't have a Sydney with them.

She must be mistranscribed.

Thanks again for looking Vanessa

There are these 2 possibles if we stick with Great Boughton:

HARRISON, Joseph 1806 35 M Boughton, Great Cheshire VIEW VIEW
HARRISON, Joseph 1809 32 M Boughton, Great Cheshire

Thank you for looking Vanessa, I couldn't see anything either.

I have found two children born to Charles & Sydney, Mary my 3 x Gt granmother (realised Sydney is my 4 x Grt) and Joseph both baptised 28/04/1805. I don't know if they were twins as it doesnt say on the baptism entry.
Sydney is not with Mary I have checked the 1841 for her, she is married to William Povey and living in Bagillt Flintshire.
I cannot find any information on Joseph, this is a line I am still researching.

Thanks again

No Sydney/Sidney anything in Great Boughton - which encompasses Tilston & Tattenhall too.

Did Sydney & Charles have any children? Can we find them in 1841 - see if mom is mistranscribed with them?

I was just trawling through all entries for Great Boughton in 1841 hoping for a bit of luck!

I wonder if somebody with full access could look at the image for this 1841 census entry:

HARRISON, Selina 1766 75 F Boughton, Great Cheshire

Is it Selina or could it be Sydney??

Thanks for all your help Vanessa I do appreciate it.

If I could only find Sydney on the 1841 census to be sure.

Thanks again

That looks really promising Jo.

Maybe as you say, they werent married but Thomas did acknowledge himself as the father and allowed himself to be put in the register!

I'm not the most experienced researcher so I'm sure I wont find any more than you have but I will take a look.

Also found a marriage in Tattenhall of Ann Sellers to a thomas Garner on 7/3/1775. So maybe she wasn't married to Thomas Coulton.

Hi Vanessa
Just found a possible baptism in Tattenhall Cheshire.
Sidney Caulton female 20/2/1771
Parents: Thos. Coulton
Ann Sellers

Could be where the Sellers came from?

Yes I am sure as I have all my information from parish records.

I also think this is my Sydney as I have also found a burial for a Charles Harrison in 1837 in Tilston. Just want to check the 1841 census to make sure Sydney is female.

Edit. Yes I have checked for baptisms, nothing.

Hi Jo

Have you looked through the registers for baptisms?

IGI lists several Sellers with parents William Sellers & Ellenor Lloyd - records are submitted, but no Sydney - typical!

Presumably you are sure that your 3 x Gt grandmother is Sydney Harrison, just a case of determining which Sydney??

Hi Vanessa

Yes I have seen that and have a copy of the marriage entry from the parish records.

Hi Vanessa
Yes that is the death. I found the burial on the pilot search on the LDS site.

My Sydney is a female, her married name is Harrison, her maiden name I believe to be Sellers, but not found a baptism to confirm this yet.

Thanks for your help

If Sydney is female, was she born a Harrison??

This looks to be the death you have found??

Interestingly it is the same area shown on the 1841 census as the one born 1791??
