Thanks Maureen,yes Violet must be Josiah and Esther's daughter as there is no other Beardmore/Thomas marriage anywhere or a Beardmore/Mayer marriage.

Yes,I see Violet in 1911. Just one of those mistakes on the Beardmore's part,I guess. I can't see who else's daughter she could possibly be!

I've looked up the thread where Violet Beardmore was given in 1911.

Esther Elizabeth Thomas was the daughter of a William Thomas and a Mary Durber.After William's death Mary remarried to a Ralph Mayer in 1898.In 1911 Ralph and Mary Mayer are lliving in Flintshire North Wales.Also in their household are Joseph Durber their nephew(my Grandfather) and a Violet Beardmore given as born in Hanley given as their Grandaughter.

Marriages Sep 1908 (>99%)
BEARDMORE Annie Stoke T. 6b 351
WHITTAKER John Stoke T. 6b 351

That's odd about the daughter Violet. The Beardmores say they've only had 3 children!

Many thanks Maureen,the couple also had a daughter Violet born in 1904 who was in Wales staying with another of my relatives in 1911.I'm wondering who the "Witterkers" were?

My relative Esther Elizabeth Thomas born in Hanley Staffordshire married a Josiah Beardmore at Northwood Holy Trinity in 1901.Josiah was born in Hanley in c 1881.Can anyone find the couple in 1911 please?
