World War One British Soldier Arthur Lewis, Winner of Military Medal. Can anyone verify this. Any additional info Appreciated - Regiment, (rank & serial No.), reason for award, in which theatre?

First name Arthur - Military Medal, not MC.
So not the right Lewis, but it's people like you that help so many of us find the right person & info. Really appreciate all of you who give your time to help us.

I'd suggest you search the London Gazette for any MM for him. Don't use his first name in the search though - just A Lewis. There might be quite a lot of hits although hopefully not too many who were awarded the MM!

There are MM medal cards but I don't think they are all on Ancestry although they would be on the Documentsonline site. but you have to pay £2 to view each one on that site. You could narrow the number down by finding all the A Lewis cards with the reference WO 372/23 which relates to the MM
