Hi

I have googled Chelsea Pensioners but the only other place is the National Archives which again will cost. I have a yearly subscription with Ancestry so don't really want to pay out £6.95 for 60 credits when I will only use 5 credits to view the file. Any ideas, does anyone need anything looking up on Ancestry that I could perhaps swap a look up on Find My Past??

Ahh thanks Choccy

His name is Jacob Carter, he lived in Great Ellingham, Norfolk - on the 1861 census he is listed as a Chelsea Pensioner - he was born 1793 and died in 1964

Hi Mel

He married Maria Lovett in 1826, she died in 1837 but they did have four children and he then married Rhoda Dunnet in 1841 - he appears to have lived in Great Ellingham for the most of his life.
