Looking for information on Bertha Lavinia Rimmer 1869 born in Southport area. Looking for parents, siblings and any other ancestors. I know she had at least one sister known as 'Annie'. Bertha married a Henry Banks and she may have had a stepmother at some time. |

the Bertha who married Henry Banks does not seem to have a middle name. Where did you get the name Lavinia from please? |

Her Father's name will be on her marriage certificate. You need that before you starting looking in censuses and guessing whether it is the correct family. |

Thank you all for your help, the 1881 Census in particular was most helpful. I am rather puzzled as to why I cannot find these people in the 1881 Census when I search the records. With regard to Bertha's second name - the information came from my mother who always knew her grandmother as Bertha Lavinia, but I have no written evidence of this. |
