Hi, can anyone help me? I am wondering how or even if i can access info on someones death? I have a name and date of death and location so i have found a record. I need to know how to find an obituary or report of it in a paper or other record. Would the death certificate hold more info other than how they died?? Thank you Ra . |

The death cert includes the full name(s), age at death, (or DOB if after 1969) |

This website can be very useful if the death was in the last few years, you can search by publication .... |

Hi thanks for replying. Unfortunately the death was many years ago so probably wouldn't be on that website. |

The library nearest to the place of death would be the best place to look for old newpapers to see if there was a death notice or obituary. If you don't live in the area then most libraries have an email address (look on Google for it), and most are willing to do look-ups for you. Some charge and others don't. The exact date of death (not just the year) would be helpful if you want the library staff to look for you. |
