Hello Dee, and all the good people who have tried to help,
I have done the 1911 look up but the only people are found was maybe wife and daugh in oxford st Bilston Annie / AnnieClarke so i,m wandering if he was in hospital at the time. I also found a possible death for him in 1912 so thats why maybe in hospital. His name John Lewis ( louis )Clark b BILSTON 1877 i got info on records but deleted because not allowed to have 2 posts at once. I thought better on History as thats the info i was looking for if there was an hospital around there and if someone could check. Its the hospital i am looking for . I,m sure there was one around there. And if there was if someone could look in records ?
Sorry to have had to leave it last night hope i have not caused too much trouble . and thank you all for your interest .
by the way he was a puddler Also i know there is newcross hospital wolv. if someone can check thier records .i would be most grateful. Flo. .

So, just to clarify - you are unable to find him 1911 and you think he died 1912. Hence you are thinking he might have been in hospital. I think you need to establish if he died first before going down that route. He should still be on census in any case.
Can you put what death record you mean please?
Just a suggestion:

Hello Brummiejan,
I will start from the beginning ! He was last seen on 1901 with his parents John / Margaret.Temple st Bilston there is also a daugh/inlaw Annie. I matched John Clark to Annie Jones 1898. A 1911 search was done but cannot find John only possible wife and daugh named Annie / Annie in a lodging house Oxford st Bilston. Annie was born Willenhall so would have been reg Walsall there is a death in 1912 Walsall for a John Clark so was just wandering if thats where they lived after marriage because on the 1901 she was a visiter so there for did not live at that address.
He was a puddler. the parents of John died 1901/2 so he would not be with them. Oxford st seems to me when my ancesters were in trouble headed there, as quite afew rellies lived around that area.
You are quite right about finding out whether he died but i wanted to find out whether everything fitted first before spending money i was pretty sure there was some kind of hospital around that area . .
Thank you for looking for me Flo

As you seem determined to find out about a possible hospital, have you tried a google search?
Are you sure he married Annie Jones? I'm a bit concerned as you have some very common names here. Going down the route of the death of a John Clark in Walsall seems a bit of a leap.

Why do you think he was in Hospital? I am a bit concerned here that you are trying to go forward in time and find something that 'fits'
Far better to work backwards from solid known facts .You say this person was an ancestor, in that case what is your relationship going backwards?

Hello Everyone, so sorry was so busy yesterday never had time to come back on line.
I know its a little far fetched but have been looking for this fellow for a long time after 1901 , He is my grandfather William.s brother, Thomas the other brother also is hard to find but may have wrong marriage, for him which was pointed out by someone . But John cannot find anything concrete. Only marriage in 1898 to Annie Jones. Thier parents John / Margaret died 1901/2 William landed up in stoke n trent when he married my grandmother 1906 then came back to Bilston thier sister Theresa went to live with her auntie in Liverpool but John / Thomas nothing but i am trying another marriage for Thomas. The one i had was 1903 Maria Fitzpatrick but there ia a Annie Maria on same page. I never knew my grandparents , the only story i had was that rellies of that family ran a cake shop/cafe in Bilston later on in years so either off John line or Thomas,s. from money inherited but from who? It may have been left by thier parents or maybe one of them died leaving money ? i was told William was done out of his share!! It could be cousins for all i know ?
I think i will have to send for marriage of John just to make sure . Thanks Everyone for your advise and so sorry for not being on here yesterday,
Brummiejan, do not think thats him as he got married before 1901 so that does not fit . (unless married twice ?) thankyou anyway. By the way all the births for them on 1901 census that choccy has put on i have found to be 2 yrs out. William my grandad b 1875.

Hello Brummiejan,
Thats what i am going to do is send for marriage just to make sure, The reason is on 1901 there is a Annie daugh inlaw married. The only one she could have been married to was John as the others got married after 1901. And the only marriage that matched John was 1898 to a Annie Jones. here,s hoping !! thanks for your interest ! Flo
