Hello Anne-Marie,
I do have the correct certificate, the address, witness etc, the dates/ages just seem to vary quite a bit.

Hello FannyByGaslight,
I have purchased this birth certificate, & believe it to be the wrong one. The sub district listed is Yalding & not Aylesford, & the fathers name is given as Thomas & not David.

Hello Misty,
Sorry for the delay in replying.
I do not have a copy of the marriage certificate, the information I have was supplied by my Uncle from a visit he made to the records office in Islington. He says that he will return & get a copy of the certificate.
So no address I'm afraid, but I do know that her fathers occupation is listed as Labourer.

Bob, are you absolutely sure that it's the right death certificate, as the birth year is way out from the census?

There were so many Jane Morris's died .....

Hello Bob

If she married in 1870 that would rule out her birth being 1857 as she would be only 12/13yrs old.....

What address was given for her on the marriage cert and her fathers occ, please

Misty x

Hello,
I am trying to find more information about my s x gt grandmother Jane Carter.
I do have some information about her, but age given at various points in her life, would give various possible dates for her birth. Listed below is the information that I have.
MARRIAGE CERT 1870 to James Fletcher Morris – age given 25, possible date of birth 1845, in Aylesford, Kent. Fathers name given as David Carter.
1871 census age given as 25, possible date of birth 1846.
1881 census age given as 33, possible date of birth 1848.
1891 census age given as 45, possible date of birth 1846.
Death certificate, dated 9th December 1894 , gives an age at death of either 37 or 57, making year of birth either 1857 or 1837.
On all census transcripts place of birth is always given as Aylesford, Kent.
I am struggling to find out exactly when she was born, & who her parents were, & from.
If anyone has access to the Aylesford parish records & could look things up for me, this would be appreciated.
Bob
