Yes, that's the one. John's Father was David Wright born around 1859 in Liverpool. I can find this family fine but as I say nothing for Mary Wright before the 1911 census.

Not seeing anything for the witnesses either they could be strangers rather than reletive or friend

My g. grandfather John Wright's address on the 1911 census was 59 Prince Edwin St, Liverpool. We know this is correct as it the same address as the marriage cert.

Jax - I think you've misread it. As I read it, Aunt Mary's dad is John and granny Mary's dad is William.

Yes they did lie on marriage certs.
You say her father is John Wright? its William in your first posting.

What other details from the cert can you give us witnesses or fathers occupation may help.
Part from the 1911 census saying she was born in Preston do you have any other proof? I cannot see any Mary Wrights born at that time with father William or John in Preston

Mary gives her residence in the 1911 census as the same one on her marriage certificate - 7 Radnor Place, West Derby. My Mom remembers her grandparents - on her Dad's side living in Prince Edwin Street so that part all fits....
Did people lie about parents etc in that age!!!!!. Mary had a daughter born around 1907 ... out of wedlock...my mother never met her maternal grandparents and my grandmother never spoke of them I have been trying to find the daughters ( Aunt Mary's - I have her marriage certificate which lists John Wright as her father) birth certificate but no luck...

Hi,
Mary Wright married John Wright in 1915 in West Derby.
Her father was William. Children Mary and Edna (my mom).
The 1911 census found her working at 7 Radnor Place Anfield.
I have no information about her before the 1911 census.
I have been looking for years with no luck and would be thankful for any leads.
