Gary remember that ages of adults in the 1841 census were supposed to be rounded down to multiples of 5 years. So your Samuel could have been between 60 and 64 years old at the time of the 1841 census and therefore may well have been born in 1777. |

Thanks @maryb. A couple of contacts suggest that Samuel's (1777) parents were William and Jane. That's all they have. No dates, and not clear how they came up with this. |

Thanks Mary. I think the Derbyshire connection is getting stronger. The only confusion being that Samuel was in the employ of Earl Of Bradford, he seems to be moving around a lot. So have a few London connections too. Yes you're right about the Bullock family. I found that after one of your earlier posts. |

I've now found a reference to another son of Samuel, a George Thompson, 1806 on IGI. This could mean that the father of Samuel is also George Thompson, again possibly from Derbyshire. |
