In 1911 Kate and Mary Brown were sent to Canada through the Quarriers in Glasgow, leaving behind older siblings William (b 1885), Sarah (b 1886), Thomas (b 1888), Jean (b?). Parents names were James Brown (b 1861) & Catherine (b 1863) Brown nee Halvestry (sp?). I know it is a long shot because Brown is such a common name, but if these names ring a bell please get in touch. Thank you.

They just missed Canada's 1911 census, although they should be on Scotland's 1911 when it gets released next year. Our 1921 should be released 2014. Brockville is on the St Lawrence R, due S of Ottawa. I don't see a marr in Ont thru 1926, but they could have moved to another province by then (or even to another state if they went to the US). It would be handy with a name like Brown to know their mum's MS for BMDs and their dob for censuses when they get released - e.g., our 1911 has month of birth on - I don't know what'll be on 1921.

Thank you so much for the suggestions. I do have some of that information on file, but would love to connect with any relations of the siblings left in Scotland. With a last name of Brown it is probably impossible.

Sorry, Anderson, I thought you were looking for the 2 who came to Canada not the ones who stayed in Scotland.
