Hi Cynthia,First of all thnkyou for replying and the amount of work you put into yr e maiil.I almost certain that John Coles born 1860 is my descendant. The problem i have is that all the people found on the four documents you have outlined can not be found again.John reappears, possibly as a lodger in the 1881 census and then in a marriage to emma Catley in 1882 where he is calling himself John Isaac Cole. Before being blown away by the Harris connection I had been inclined to beleive that the three remaining Coles had died in a cholera epidemic and buried in a mass grave.I am just desperate to fill in that 20 year gap in some way and would welcome yr views. |
