Might be worth asking if someone can check London parish records on Ancestry to see about a marriage. (And maybe Caroline's baptism just in case her mother's name has been recorded). |

Many thanks for that...I was hoping he had been a boot maker like his father, might have been easier to decide if it was the right one! I was also hoping that he had married as I'm trying to find out about his mother Jane and not having any luck there. I've got to go offline for a couple of hours as OH needs the computer but I will check in later. |

I've reached a dead end trying to find William Lewis who was born c1841 in St James, Middlesex. His father was also William Lewis born c1804 and his mother was called Jane (I also can't find her maiden name). |
