Is there anyone who can find a Lydia Mary Watson b1872 in Southwold, Suffolk marrying a Mr Davis in America? Possibly in California from 1912 to 1958.Could anyone find the name of her husband?

Thanks

Is it possible she married in England first to Charles Cullingford.....

Marriages Jun 1898 (>99%)
Clarke Eliza Blything 4a 1778
CULLINGFORD Charles William Blything 4a 1778
Taylor Robert Blything 4a 1778
Watson Lydia Mary Blything 4a 1778

I only mention this because there is a passenger called Lydia Mary Cullingford travelling to Philadelphia in 1912 whose next of kin is George Watson Southwold Suffolk.

She did, but charles it seems did not follow her. That's interesting though if her father was named as next of kin. They must have divorced or he died, i haven't found any record of this. I assumed she was still married cos her occupation was 'wife'. I found her death mentioned as Lydia Mary Davis [Lydia Mary Watson] on ancestry.com, but cannot access the details due to not being a subscriber. And it wouldn't have given me her husbands name.

Los Angeles, 1920 and 1930 USA censuses have a Lydia M Davis with husband Reynold R Davis, born Sweden. This is a son Robert born Connecticut...I think from a previous marriage of Reynold's, especially as Lydia Cullingford is travelling alone in 1912. Nor have I found a death for Charles.

ooh it's certainly a possible match, does it mention if she is from Southwold, Suffolk ? Her Sister Evelyn Annie Watson lived in Los Angeles, and Eustace her nephew lived in California

Thankyou for your help by the way

There are a couple of mentions on passenger lists..1912 and 1913 of Charles W Cullingford travelling to and from Montreal......no marital status or next of kin given.
The US censuses do not give place of birth beyond country.

I'll assume that Reynold is the husband, and that perhaps Charles Cullingford died in Canada.Shame i can't find a wedding date. Thanks
