I'm not sure about the 'maybe another child' post. On that it states the Father's birth place was 2 Wharton Terrace which is in Dublin, and I know he was born in Portsea. Could it be just an error?

Oh if it helps William Hill, who is the Scottish child was born in Kilmarnock, I've just checked.

what was her christian name

I am trying to find the 1st wife of George W Hill (b1852 Portsea, Hampshire). All I know of her is she is showing as being born in 1851 in Felixstowe in Suffolk (EDIT - Her name is Elizabeth)
I have them living in Bridgend, Wales in1891, with their 4 children Walter 1880 (born in Ireland), Millicent 1882 & Florence 1884 (both born in India) and William 1890 (born in Scotland). I have no idea where the marriage took place, give George's movement with the Army.
Can anyone help me out with where to look or have any information I can't find.
