Alfred James Jackson, born 18 Sept. 1896 in Hackney, baptized 22 July 1897 at St. Marks, Dalston was my grandfather. Parents were Alfred and Julia. Any other information would be appreciated. I know that he had a sister Alice. Unfortunately, I don't know his mother's maiden name. He died Dec. 1935. He was a driver for the London Fire Brigade. Thank you all in advance, Lois |

Still no sign of them in 1901.......... I think they must be missing or extremely mistranscribed. |

First, thank you all for your responses of which several have been very helpful. To answer some of your questions, my mother said that Alfred's, Peter, as he was called, mother's name was Julia and she believed that the maiden name was Wood. She also knew that he had several brothers and sisters, but the only one that she knew was Alice. Alice lived in Tottenham, and died sometime in the 1970's I believe. Alfred and Anorah Dennahy, were married in West Ham and I do have their marriage cert, which lists his father as also Alfred James, postal worker. Now that I have the names of his brothers and sisters, I can expand my search of the family. Again, thank you for your help. Lois |
