Thanks for all replies , I apologise for delay in replying .

There was confusion over Denis Allen is it appears there were two of a similar name , period and place .

I know one Married a Mary Hackett , there are Hacketts in my family , I intend to re- apply for a Marriage Certificate , hopefully will more success .

Hello Tony, when you say you've had no joy with certificates, does that mean that they were the wrong ones, or that you can't find a birth record with which to order a certificate?

I am trying to find the Mother of Cathrine (1862 ) and Mary Allen ( 1866 ) who Married a Denis Allen all from County Clare .

All but the Mother show on the Lverpool 1871 census .

Any help please , tried obtaining certificates , but no joy.
