Please can anyone help. I'm trying to find the birth and death of John Cox. John was married to Lucy Elliott Cox on 8th November 1897 in Glasgow. According to their son John's birth certificate in 1898 John was an Engine driver. He and Lucy went on to have at least three more children. On my mother's birth certificate in 1917 Lucy was using her maiden name of Mooney and John was stated to have been a miner and died in 1911 in Leslie in Scotland. |

Hello Philip, have you tried Scotland's People website? |

Yes, but with no success as I don't have his parents names. I just wondered whether he might appear in someone else's tree. |

I found his marriage and it states his parents as John Cox and Eliza Newberry. (deceased). His age is given as 22, and Lucy as 21 |
