Thanks Bev for the information.

What a shame I don't live in the UK otherwise it could be very useful. Maybe next time.

I am well and truly at a loss as to what to do next. Relatively new to this game! I am trying to find the date and place of the marriage of William Davis born 1889. His parents were William Davis b.1868 wife Maria ?
William Davis b.1889 had siblings, Elizabeth, Frederick, Percy & John. I believe they came from somewhere in the Stoke-on-Trent area of Staffs.
Doncaster was mentioned but I have no idea in what context.. Think I'm fighting a losing battle. ANY help would be greatfully received.

Lilian, you really need to start a new thread of your own to ask your question.

It will then be visible to the helpers.

That's very frustrating Jansmith.

Tell me who it was and I will get the details for you.

I also saved a few 1911 Census records to people in my tree yesterday. On seeing the 'jansmith' message this morning I checked my tree. The records I saved have all disappeared...!!! let alone having to pay to view them.

I did at least print a couple of others off so I suppose I got something for FREE. It seems a bit daft that you could save to your tree only for them to disappear, tight-fisted or what?

Cheers, Ian
