Appreciate the update.

I've notice something else. When searching for Census records and the family is recorded on separate pages, you only get the name of the head of the family or family members thereafter that have been recorded on the same page, even if you have asked for a search on a name that is on the second page. Never used to do that. It would be useful if you could search on the Census Number as well so that you get the full family like with Ancestry.
To be honest, there is a lot of improvements they could do with the search engine which would make research a lot user friendly but it all takes time..

It's just you, i tried to repeat the same search as above and got the same error still.

They are obviously fixing the coding bit by bit (the downtimes currently are proving that)

Why try and fix things in a live field? Why not announce the few hours downtime and get it all done like Ancestry do?

Is it me or does this appear to be fixed now.

I would suggest it's a roll over from the BMD searches and the script has gotten confused somewhere....

It does seem the system thinks it's looking for post 1837 BMD's even tho the search results match the search page being used.

It's a cross over on the database somewhere....

Oh that is annoying, thanks for bringing it to our attention. I wonder why they've set it up that way,

I'm attempting to Search All Trees for a Sarah Edwards born in c 1835.To start with I entered the name Sarah Edwards as per normal search. On attempting to Amend Search I entered the name again with the intention of putting the year 1835 and going +- 2 years as per normal practice.

However the search box wont take my search as it requires me to put a year 1837 or after, asking me otherwise to leave the year blank. This is absolute nonsense!
