Hi. fellow hunters,
Can anyone with access to 1911 Uk and Irish census look up for me Peter Kearney/Kearny b c1852 Castlebar, Co.Mayo, Ireland.
Wife Honor/Anne b c1860.
He was in Ireland a landholder/farmer, but in England I don't Kknow.
Children left at home would be Catherine c1896, Patrick 1897 and Celia 1901.
Thank you for any Help.
Regards,
Ann.

No obvious sign on the English 1911 census. Do you know for sure that the family was in England then?

Have you taken a look at the 1911 census of Ireland?

Hi Jonesey,
I've got them on the 1901 Irish census, but I'm having difficulty accessing the 1911 probably due to my stupidity.
Regards,
Ann.

Hi Chrisa,
The ages don't seem to match up with the fammily.
Although Patrick living in Cowper street Bootle is my greart uncle Pat.

Ann.

The only age that doesn't match is Peters & that could be an error or deliberate if he didn't want people to know how old he was.

I think that is your Peter with his wife & children

That was interesting to come back and see the Lancashire connection as I have found a couple of possible marriages for the children and a possible death for Peter in Lancashire -

Name: Celia Kearney married Michael
Spouse Surname: Rafferty
Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1924
Registration district: Prescot
Registration county (inferred): Lancashire
Volume Number: 8b
Page Number: 1226

Name: Patrick Kearney married Norah
Spouse Surname: Connor
Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1925
Registration district: Prescot
Registration county (inferred): Lancashire
Volume Number: 8b
Page Number: 1277

There are a few possible marriages for Bridget.

Possible death? Though fits with age in 1901, not 1911

Deaths Sep 1919
Kearney Peter 68 Bucklow 8a 199

Hi Christine2,
I think you are right about Celia but uncle Pat never married, he died in Liverpool 1977 after a life in the merchant navy.

Ann.
